Iraq in 07'

My second tour UGH!!!! Mad at the world and mad at the Corp. I sucked up my pride, my fears and all my feelings, packed my gear, packed my bags and charged on. Being that it was my second time I sorta knew what to expect, knew where we were going in the country so I knew what to expect from the area for the most part. That really eliminated some of the fear. One of the biggest things was getting used to the new people and authority figures that were now in charge. Nonetheless, we met them got used to them and their ways, and they did the same for us. Took a while to get used to some things that changed, like the level of professionalism, and the way they authoritized I guess you can say, but for the most part it was a smooth transition for me and for my unit. Thank God for that. Get there and sleep in tents for about 3 weeks before we got into our cans which were great. Well as great as Iraq can get we had tvs, cable, internet, and video games. People may think that that is crazy but its more than needed after week long missions, fire fights, and interacting a lot with the Iraqi population. Seven months on a truck with the greatest men that ever walked the face of this earth, hard times, both good and bad but we all came home safe at the end of it and that my friend is more than we can ask for.

Plan In Motion!!!
